Retirement of Ms. Ruth Doe

The Retirement Ceremony for Ms. Ruth Doe was held on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the S. Trowen Nagbe United Methodist Church on 14th st in Monrovia.

Ms. Doe served the J. J. Roberts United Methodist School faithfully for 43 years,. Nearly 10 of those years were served as principal (1998-2007). She was also noted for travelling throughout West Africa (eg. Togo & Ivory Coast) for conferences on behalf of the school and to keep JJRUMS accredited among top West African schools. In her speech, she emphasized that JJRUMS was a great school because of its high quality, Christian-based method of instruction.

The ceremony was very crowded, with many well wishers including current & former teachers (Mrs. Emily Wureh & Mrs. Ida Ajavon), family, friends, school administrators, current and former students. Remarks & presentation of gifts were given by friends, family, alumni, PTA, administration, janitors, school board, etc. The sermon was given by Bishop Arthur F. Kulah. Ms. Doe was constantly described as a dedicated, committed and faithful leader, servant and administrator.
